The business is seeking a motivated and qualified IT Support Officer as part of an established and capable team.
About the role
The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing day to day IT support for users across multiple sites in Australia and overseas via phone or email. They will take ownership of the IT helpdesk, demonstrating a strong desire to understand what users are trying to do and proactively identify the best solution to achieve the required outcome for the business. They will observe and report any trends in support requests to the Group IT Manager and develop self-help guides where relevant. They will also assist the rest of the IT department in administering and monitoring IT systems, researching and sourcing new equipment and services as required, and contributing to various IT projects.
Roles & Responsibilities
- First point of contact, providing timely, accurate and relevant support for hardware, software, network, printers and communication services and equipment over the phone or via email.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Jira Service desk and allocation of work to other staff members.
- Action requests relating user accounts IAW company policy and the use of Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange
- Carry out laptop/desktop builds via SCCM or Intune and despatch hardware to users around the country as required.
- Develop instruction sheets and knowledge base articles and train users where required
- Assist with the administration and monitoring of IT systems
- Assist with the installation of software including the setup and maintenance of application packages and automatic patching
- Identify areas for improvement in business processes and system utilisation
- Maintain the IT asset register.
