26 Jun RPC TECHNOLOGIES AND UK’S TODS DEFENCE FORM ALLIANCE – 26/06/2018
RPC Technologies (RPC) has signed a partnership agreement with UK-based advanced manufacturing company, Tods Defence. The agreement has aligned the two similar companies to exchange superior engineering innovation in complex composite solutions, local manufacturing capability and Through Life Support to Australian and international Defence projects now and in the future.
This week the companies are exhibiting together at the Undersea Defence Technology (UDT) conference in Glasgow. UDT is the underwater defence and security communities key exhibition and conference. It brings together professionals from the military, industry and academia to focus on the cutting-edge technologies and developments within one of the harshest environments known to man.
The partnership will leverage the strengths, capabilities and deep experience of the two respected industry leaders. Tods Defence Managing Director Pete Eckersall said “This relationship will allow us to transfer intelligence enabling the local manufacture and ongoing support of our Maritime technology, but it also allows our companies to collaborate on other opportunities on a larger scale,” he said. “RPC offers Tods Defence the opportunity for a single relationship into Australia, where RPC will use its local supply chain to provide the entire solutions for maritime contracts.”
Tods Defence was established in 1932 as W&J Tod Limited and transitioned into boat building and Defence work during the 1960’s before finally joining the Unitech family in 2013.
Founded in the 1970’s, RPC is a privately-owned Australian SME successfully supplying complex composite solutions to global markets including Infrastructure, Transport, Mining, Defence and Power.
