RPC Technologies welcomes the Hon John Eren MP to Corio facitlity – 22/9/2017

RPC Technologies Group Managing Director, Tony Caristo, welcomed the Hon John Eren MP, the State Member for Lara, to RPC’s manufacturing facility in Corio, Victoria on Friday 22 September. The Minister was accompanied by Athena Adriotis, Director, Construction Technologies, and Lisa Pitre from the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources. Discussion took place around the recently released Advanced Victorian Manufacturing Statement and initiatives that have been identified to support Victorian manufacturing. The group toured the RPC facility which was purpose-built six-years-ago to support Victorian infrastructure and rail projects. The Minister is pictured here with (L to R) Lisa Pitre; Tony Caristo; RPC Senior Manager Operations, Victoria, Darren Bishop; and Athena Andriotis standing in front of the 5.0 metre diameter x 12 metre long mandrel built for the production of the ground-breaking Perma-Manholes® engineered specifically for the recently completed for Yarra Valley Water ( YVW) Amaroo Sewer project, and again, with Tony Caristo, Darren Bishop and Jo Crowley from RPC with the V’Locity composite external cowlings being painted for Bombardier Transport Australia.

Other projects viewed by the Minister during his visit included Melbourne Light Rail Vehicle parts and V’Locity train luggage racks and partitions being assembled for Bombardier; X’Trapolis train seats being assembled for Alstom; Hawkei dashboards being assembled for Thales; prototype Spall Liners being trialled in conjunction with Tencate; 15metre high filament wound Vent Stacks for Melbourne Water & S.A. Water and 3.2metre diameter and 5.0m diameter mandrels that were engineered to produce the Amaroo Sewer project for YVW.
