05 Jul X’Trapolis 2.0 Mock-up completed by the RPC Broadmeadow team – 2023
The X’Trapolis 2.0 mock-up was produced under an Alliance agreement with Alstom for the Victorian Department of Transport and Planning. The mock-up consists of a Motor Car and Trailer Car totalling 40m long and weighing around 35,000kg. The Motor Car pictured is 25m long and 21,000kg and will be joined with the Trailer Car delivered late last year (2022). The mock-up is now in Melbourne where it will be inspected and evaluated by over 60 stakeholder user groups. Adjustments to the design of the real train may be incorporated based on the feedback received from the user groups.
