RPC SINGAPORE ON A WINNING STREAK – 24.4.2024

RPC SINGAPORE ON A WINNING STREAK – 24.4.2024

The RPC Singapore team has been awarded two major projects worth in excess of S$9.0m.

Project One: GRP seawater cooling piping for Keppel Sakra Cogen Plant (KSC Plant) -.

The Keppel plant is Singapore’s first hydrogen-ready cogeneration plant. Located on Jurong Island, the power plant will be a 600MW advanced combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT). The plant will be able to save up to 220,000 tons per year of CO2, equivalent to taking about 47,000 cars off the road – a major decarbonisation pathway to support Singapore’s commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

The RPC scope involves the design & engineering (Seven Hills), Project Management (Singapore), manufacture (Batam) and delivery of large diameter GRP Main Cooling Water (CW) piping of up to 2.8m diameter and smaller Auxiliary CW piping. The supply portion will be completed by December 2024.

Project Two: RPC has been awarded 53 x FRP Tanks for Kwong Cheong Thye (KCT), Singapore

KCT produces Soy Sauce and is a 131-year-old Heritage food brand of Singapore.  The tanks are part of a major factory expansion. RPC will design, manufacture, and deliver 47 round tanks of 3m dia and 2.5m dia with heights ranging from 6.5m to 17.5m. An additional six saline rectangular tanks were also awarded.  The FRP tanks will be manufactured in Batam and will be completed by March 2025.

These projects are in addition to the two existing projects which are well underway.

  • The 2023 cooling water GRP piping project from PT JEL Indonesia for the PT Amman Indonesia gas turbine power station.
  • and the near completed GE Taiwan Power Plants cooling water GRP small bore Piping for Hsinta and Taichung.

Testament to our ONE RPC culture, a great TEAM effort from PT RPC Indonesia, RPC Technologies, and RPC Singapore. Congratulations to the RPC Singapore team (pictured here LtoR: Alpesh Pradhan, Mark Toh, Gary Reid and Karthi Kehan) for their continued success in the large and highly competitive SEA region.
