18 Jul Final GRP Cascade Shaft Liner segments delivered for Central Interceptor (NZ) Rawalpindi site – 18.7.2024
RPC’s work for the Central Interceptor (Auckland) project continues with four GRP segments (RW05, RW06, RW07 and the top dome) for the Rawalpindi shaft leaving our facility in Batam, bound for Singapore and then onto Auckland. The final segment (RW08) is also complete in our facility in Corio and will be shipped at the end of July. These segments, with a diameter of 5.5m, are expected to arrive in Auckland by mid-August.
The first four segments are already at the Rawalpindi site and these are being assembled on-site and lowered into the 26.8m deep shaft next week with the other segments to be connected when they arrive.
