Tawariki Shaft Shipments & Delivery

Tawariki Shaft Shipments & Delivery

RPC Technologies continues to provide tailormade GRP solutions for the infrastructure industry. Recently, we shipped the first of 4 GRP cascade shaft segments for the Tawariki shaft, which is part of the Central Interceptor project in Auckland, New Zealand. These segments represent the first batch delivered to the site and will be assembled to create a complete DN7500 GRP cascade shaft, approximately 25 meters deep.

The modules were shipped from our plant on Batam Island, Indonesia, to Auckland, New Zealand, with each DN7500 module measuring 8 meters in width and weighing up to 32 tons.

The second batch of DN7500 GRP cascade shaft segments destined for Auckland has left Singapore from our Batam plant. These final four segments are part of the Tawariki GRP cascade shaft, will connect to the DN4500 main sewer tunnel of the Central Interceptor project being constructed beneath Auckland.

Once installed, the Tawariki GRP cascade shaft will provide a corrosion-resistant solution for transporting sewage and wastewater to the local Wastewater Treatment Plant.
