Toilet Module win announced for Alstom’s Perth Metronet DMU 3.3.2021

RPC is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the design, manufacture and supply of the Sanitary Toilet Modules (including Tank systems) for Alstom’s Perth Metronet DMU for the WA PTA. The modules are for six new diesel railcars which will replace the existing Australind service between Perth and Bunbury.

RPC will design the toilet modules in 3D to ensure correct interface into the overall interior train design. The fully equipped scope includes press-button doors, electronic toilets, wash basins, mirrors, baby change tables, flooring, piping, handrails and electrical wiring, the supply of kits and final assembly in the railcars in Perth, and meets all relevant standards for the rail industry including EN45545 HL2 for Fire & Smoke Toxicity plus all additional disability standards for the accessible toilet modules. The project will be managed by Darren Bishop with delivery expected in September 2022.
