Fibreglass and carbon fibre ducting and fittings for underground mine ventilation, manufactured to meet Fire Retardant Anti-Static (FRAS) requirements.

With more than 30 years’ experience manufacturing Mine Vent Duct (MVD), RPC has the expertise and capability to meet the specific requirements of your operation.
Proper ventilation in mine shafts isn’t just a regulatory requirement — it’s essential for worker safety, operational efficiency and environmental control. A well-designed ventilation system removes harmful gases, controls temperature and maintains breathable air.
Engineered and manufactured in Australia, RPC’s MVD is fibreglass GRP that meets Fire Retardant Anti-Static (FRAS) standards. Ducts undergo rigorous vacuum and conductivity testing to ensure consistent quality and compliance with TRG 3608 requirements.
Complementing this range is our lightweight carbon fibre ducting – Lightweight Mine Vent Duct (LWMVD). The LWMVD range offers versatility across a broad spectrum of applications — from economical and reliable ducting solutions through to high-performance, engineered systems.
The range

MVD
Our fibreglass ducting and fittings provide a cost-effective, fit-for-purpose solution, manufactured to meet Fire Retardant Anti-Static (FRAS) requirements.

LWMVD
Lightweight carbon fibre ducting, delivering an ultra-lightweight, high-performance solution. It reduces the manual handling risk, as the effort required to install or relocate the duct is significantly reduced.
MRMVD
Information coming soon.

HDMVD
A 2.4-metre duct engineered to withstand significantly higher negative pressure than standard MVD, for demanding locations such as close to the main fan unit. Designed, developed and tested at Broadmeadow, NSW.
Specifications
RPC offers a comprehensive range of ducting configurations and fitting options to suit your specific application.
Elbows are available across the MVD range (MVD, LWMVD and HDMVD).
Customer story
One of RPC’s long-standing mining customers asked us to solve an intermittent issue affecting standard Mine Vent Duct installed close to the main fan unit. RPC completed the design, development and testing at its Broadmeadow, NSW facility.
Following its release for general use, other mining operations have adopted the HDMVD and fittings as long-term underground solutions.

During a recent site visit, one of RPC’s long-standing mining customers asked us to solve an intermittent issue affecting standard Mine Vent Duct installed close to the main fan unit.
