RPC provides an end-to-end service for the manufacture of GRP components and finished products. We combine specialist composite expertise, repeatable and scalable production, and turnkey delivery.

From prototyping and tooling to defined production volumes and repeat manufacturing, RPC helps turn product and component requirements into practical, durable GRP solutions.

With five manufacturing facilities across Australia and Southeast Asia, RPC has the capacity and capability to support projects of varying scale, complexity and production volume. Whatever the scale of your project, RPC can help identify and deliver a practical composite solution — from initial concept through to production.

Customer story

Ship hull scale tank-test models

For Solution Engineering (Malaysia), our Batam team made a 1:100 VLCC and a 1:70 FPSO hull — CNC-machined single-use moulds, hand lay-up 8mm hulls, internal bulkheads, mooring eye bolts and instrument mounting plates, with a yellow gelcoat for visibility (2023).

Customer story

Riviera luxury motor yachts

For Riviera Australia (2014–2018), Batam produced CNC-cut patterns for the hull, deck and flybridge, plus moulds and first-off parts.

When are composites or GRP the right manufacturing solution?

  • Resistance to corrosion, chemicals and harsh weather
  • High strength at a lower weight than many traditional materials
  • Electrical non-conductivity
  • Efficient moulding of complex, custom and integrated shapes
  • Practical manufacture of large, awkward or difficult-to-fabricate components
  • Cost-effective production
  • A practical alternative when metal manufacture is costly or impractical
  • Integration of functional features into the finished component
  • Carbon fibre: exceptional strength-to-weight ratio, high stiffness and low thermal expansion
  • Kevlar: flexibility where required and ballistic capability
  • Alternative resin systems: epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, fire-retardant and recyclable resin options

Why choose RPC for composite contract manufacturing?

  • Product design support
  • Plug and tooling manufacture, including CNC profiling
  • Concept and product review, including in-house laser profile scanning
  • Basic through to advanced GRP and carbon fibre manufacturing
  • Versatile composite manufacturing processes, including filament winding, infusion, VARTM and open moulding with vacuum consolidation
  • Precision composite trimming, bonding and assembly, including electrical systems, with secure clean-room and assembly-cell options
  • Product finishing using the latest coating-industry technology
  • Rigorous production and quality documentation, supported by ISO 9001 certification as a minimum
  • Product and production reviews to support agreed delivery schedules
