St Marys WRRF Odour Treatment Plant project has been named a finalist for the Australian Water Association Innovation Award!

We are excited to announce that the St Marys WRRF Odour Treatment Plant project has been named a finalist for the Australian Water Association Innovation Award! This recognition highlights the outstanding contributions made by our team in developing innovative solutions for one of the most challenging aspects of water treatment.

As part of our collaboration with the Delivery Partner, which consisted of Sydney Water, UGL and WSP, RPC Technologies was responsible for the design, manufacture, delivery and installation, of the odour control facility.

Our scope of work included:

  • Three x AZZURO TR36-5 bio-trickling filters Torrenta 36-5
  • Four x RPC2650D activated carbon filters
  • Duct Support System
  • Ducting ranging from DN100 to DN1200 (total 1750m) and dampers collecting foul air from the liquid stream (inlet works and primary treatment) and from the solids stream (dewatering plant)
  • Associated fans and instrumentation,
  • 1,500m2 of flat trafficable aluminium 5kPA covers and GRP non-trafficable covers

The outcome of our work is a highly efficient system capable of treating 42,900 m3/hr of foul air, with all air treated before being released to the atmosphere through a 1.2m diameter, 18-metre-high stack.

This project exemplifies RPC Technologies’ commitment to delivering innovative solutions that meet our clients’ needs.
